Snowmaking Installation Technician

Play a part in an exciting construction project at The Remarkables. This role requires you to work as part of a close knit hard working team to install snowmaking pipe and equipment.

About the Role

• Installing ductile iron water pipe and electrical reticulation 
• Installing snow guns and snow making equipment
• Project work needs to be completed in set timeframes around other construction work, so you may occasionally be asked to put in extra effort so we can be ready before winter 
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as diggers or loaders an advantage but not essential
• You will be working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions
• From time to time you may also help with kaitiakitanga efforts such as planting, seed harvesting and pest control
• This is a full-time, fixed term role 4th Dec 2023 to 1st May 2024

• Experience in the installation of ductile iron pipe an advantage but not essential
• Knowledge of snowmaking plant, services and controls an advantage but not essential
• Knowledge of working around heavy machinery is preferred
• Hard working and can work towards deadlines
• Proactive in regards to health and safety
• Ability to work within a small team and carry out set tasks unsupervised
