About the job:

You will assist in repair works on a variety of surfaces after our teams have completed requested repairs on a pipe network. In other words, you will be the one to make it all look like new again!

Due to the diverse nature of this role, you must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment, be willing to assist the wastewater team as required, from preparation to a range of reinstatement requirements as well as laying and finishing of asphalt pavements and patches. You will have a good eye for detail, with a strong focus of safe machinery and plant operation.

What you’ll need:

• Experience in similar roles involving operating a pedestrian roller and plate compactor, hand laying etc
• A minimum of a Class 2 License with WTF endorsements (or the ability to obtain these)
• You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused, and work well in a team as well as independently.
• You will be open to shift work and being on an on-call roster.

A Traffic Management qualification and a New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works would both be advantageous to this role, but not essential.

All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
