Join Our Team brand new branch in the Far North Region

Are you up for the role of a Sexton? We're looking for someone who can undertake interments, coordinate with funeral directors, and provide empathy and understanding during a time of great sadness. You'll also keep the cemetery looking tidy by mowing the grass, weeding and helping out from time to time with structures. We want a Sexton who takes pride in their work and treats these grounds with the utmost respect.

This role will be based in Kaitaia or Kawakawa with hours based between Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Full Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Level 3 Horticulture qualification, Cemetery Strand (not essential)
  • Full Class 2 Licence (not essential)
  • Growsafe certificate (not essential)
