OneSchool Global North America is seeking a dynamic and energetic Regional Principal!


The Regional Principal is ultimately accountable to the Regional Director of Education and is responsible for a group of Campuses within a Region; ensuring consistency in the delivery of the curriculum, Learning to Learn Framework and school operations in line with the Global vision, values, and strategy.


Strategically directing the work of District/Campus Principals, the Regional Principal is expected to build a high-performance team, aligned with the OneSchool Global (OSG) Personas, ensuring accountability for delivery of ambitious strategic goals. The Regional Principal ensures productive and collaborative working relationships are built with local Campus Administrator Boards, and Regional Team Leaders, to ensure rigorous governance.


The Regional Principal works as part of the Regional Support Office team to deliver a consistent strategy for Campus support and communication with all stakeholders.


*Key Accountabilities*

Vision, Values, Ethos and Guiding Principles:
 Strategically lead all District/Campus Principals to build a high-performance team and to ensure the ethos, values and guiding principles of OSG are maintained.
 Strategically lead implementation of the OSG Learning to Learn Framework within every Campus, ensuring it is the founding principle in all teaching and learning programs within Primary and Secondary. Understood by everyone – students, staff and parents.

Educator and Leadership Development:
 Ensure that all District/Campus Principals understand and are held accountable for their responsibilities.
 Through the leadership of District/Campus Principals, ensure that all education and student support staff access the OSG Induction and Teacher Academy program.
 Strategically direct and hold District/Campus Principals accountable for Quality Assurance of Teaching and Learning, leadership, student outcomes, stakeholder engagement and governance across Campuses within the Region; using OSG tools and procedures, including following up on next steps.
 Provide professional coaching and mentoring to District/Campus Principals in order to develop the quality, consistency, accountability and impact of leadership at every level in the Campus.
 Direct the work of District/Campus Principals to ensure a program of professional coaching, mentoring, and line management for Campus staff that is individualized, value-adding and fully aligned to the OSG vision, values and strategy.
 Continually strive for growth and improvement in the OSG Learning to Learn Framework.
 Provide reports from Campus visits that summarise findings and actions for the District/Campus Principal. Copied to the CA team and Campus Board.

Timetable and Curriculum:
 Ensure the OSG Timetable and Curriculum are correctly implemented and maintained in each allocated Campus.
 Ensure the OSG Subject Selection Policy is fully implemented and that subject selection choices demonstrate appropriate ambition, challenge and breadth. Including consultation with parents.
 Ensure Campus Principals drive engagement and outcomes within the Career Advancement Program, and that they fully connect with the OSG Pathways program for students approaching graduation.

Compliance With Statutory Regulations:
 Provide effective scrutiny of all Campuses against the relevant statutory regulations for accreditation, registration and inspection.
 Support and hold District and Campus Principals to account for ensuring all relevant statutory regulations are met at each Campus.
 Provide immediate and effective intervention for Campuses who are not meeting one or more of the relevant statutory regulations.
 Report to the National Executive Committee and Regional Board on compliance with relevant statutory regulations, timely and as required.
 Ensure ‘inspection-readiness’ of all Campuses in relation to inspection from any regulatory authority.
 Through effective governance routines, to provide support and scrutiny of Campus self-evaluation and school improvement planning, to hold school District and Campus Principals to account for accurate and effective monitoring, evaluation and improvement.
 Ensure the Regional Policy for Child Protection is given the highest priority and fully implemented within each Campus, including training for staff, volunteers, students and parents; systems for reporting and management of concerns; record keeping; recruitment; governance and Regional reporting.

Student Outcomes
 Ensure District/Campus Principals maintain an accurate analysis of student growth and achievement, including MAP, internal and external examinations, and that there is a robust plan for raising achievement and growth for all students, subjects and teachers – Primary and Secondary.
 Ensure progress of students taught remotely has equal importance at each Campus, as those students taught face to face.
 Implement a consistent process for reporting student progress and outcomes to parents.
 Strategically ensure feedback systems provide students with the information they require to improve their performance, from formative and summative assessments.
 Uphold the importance and value of academic achievement and progress, and development of self-directed skills for all students.
 Lead a program to improve student outcomes and achievement across the Region.
 Work with the District/Campus Principals and senior educational leaders to implement and promote Student Achievement Awards and the Global House Cup.

Management of Human Resources:
 Work strategically with District/Campus Principals and HR to ensure appropriate and consistent methods at each Campus for the safe recruitment and selection of staff. Including compliance with the process for employment references, police checks, record-keeping and the setting of OSG interview questions.
 Provide strategic and operational direction to ensure every member of Campus and Regional Education staff participate in the Performance Growth Program, aligned with the OSG Policy.
 Appraise allocated members of the District/Campus Principal, and Regional Support Office (RSO) team.
 Partner with the HR team, local CA teams and Campus leadership to ensure the effective management of conflict, investigations, and disciplinary matters by District and Campus Principals; participating in the process as required.

Sustainability:
 Work with the Regional Financial Controller, Head of HR, and Regional Executive Committee to ensure Campus and Regional expenditure is aligned with the allocated budget.
 Hold senior educational leaders and District/Campus Principals to account for maintaining Campus resources in line with the budget. Including staffing, curriculum, and strategic expenditure.
 Provide accurate budget forecasts in line with the Global budgeting cycle.

Regional and Global Portfolios:
 Lead strategic planning and communication for one or more Regional portfolios.
 Engage with Global Regional Principal meetings and strategic initiatives as directed by the Regional Director of Education.
 If directed, to lead strategic planning and communication for one or more global portfolios.

Regional Strategic Planning:
 Contribute to the strategic planning with the Region, including the annual strategic plan and Regional Sprint plans.
 Work with senior educational leaders, Regional functional leads, District and Campus Principals to ensure Global and Regional objectives and milestones are met.
 Send progress reports to the RDE (Regional Director of Education), Regional Board and wider stakeholder group as required.


Teaching Delivery:
 Where a teaching component is allocated, teach as per Regional Teacher standards and model the OSG Learning to Learn Framework as a foundation of all teaching and learning.


Engagement:
 Contribute to Senior Educational Leadership Team (SELT) meetings as required.
 Ensure the Campus Daily Team Meeting (DTM) is a structured means for Campus Principals to communicate daily with staff, at all Campuses.
 Lead whole-staff meetings, student assemblies, parent meetings and webinars as required.
 Foster positive relationships with the school’s community.
 Contribute to and work in conjunction with the Regional Leadership Team, Regional Support Office and EA’s, including joining cross-function meetings.
 Contribute to OneSchool marketing and Public Relations activity as directed.


Policy and Procedure:
 Support, review and actively implement agreed OSG policies, procedures and guidelines as appropriate to the role. Ensure all OSG Policy and procedures are implemented at each Campus.

 Perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role.
 Uphold and promote the OSG ethos within all areas of responsibility.
 Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of OSG.

Special Dimensions of the Role:
 Preparedness to travel around the Region, including the need for overnight stays when required.
 Ability to attend out-of-hours meetings.

 Experience in a principal or senior educational leadership position.
 Experience of the application of Child Protection legislation in schools.
 Experience leading educational activity across multiple, geographically distributed sites.
 A successful teacher – able to understand the challenges of the classroom.
 Demonstrated success in endeavours to date.
 Experience leading a modern learning environment and modern learning techniques. Including the use of various learning technologies.
 Experience working with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including school boards.
 Experience facilitating strategic and school improvement planning processes.
 Experience leading successful compliance with regulatory and statutory frameworks.
 Experience in school budgeting.
 Experience leading change.
