Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher

OneSchool Global is seeking a dynamic and creative Student Success Assistant for our New England Campus (located in Millbury, MA)! The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students and have experience working with students with Down’s Syndrome.

Responsibilities:

• assist teachers in delivering instructional activities
• support students with learning and developmental disabilities
• create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement educational programs
• provide 1:1 and in class supports
• monitor student progress and report back to teacher
• assist with classroom management and organization

Requirements:

• experience working with students with Down’s Syndrome
• knowledge of special education practices and strategies
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
• flexibility and adaptability
• strong organizational skills
• ability to work with diverse range of students and learning styles
• preference will be given to those with formal schooling in Special Education and to those with experience working with students with Down’s Syndrome
