About The Role
Due to business growth, we have a requirement for a new role in our HSE team.

Reporting to the Manager - Risk we are seeking an experienced Principal – Risk.  This role will be responsible for leading the Risk function across all WHC sites in NSW and QLD.

 

We are flexible on location for this role, you can be based in any of our offices in NSW or QLD, with regular travel to our sites. Travel for this role will be approximately every 2 weeks to one of our NSW or QLD sites to ensure successful delivery and stakeholder engagement of our Risk management framework.  

 

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure the WHC Risk Framework supports the growing organisation and seek to develop the organisations maturity in risk management and decision making
  • Maintenance and improvement of the company approach to HSE, operational and business risk management
  • Develop the capability approach to risk management across the company and the coaching of risk and control owners in HSE risk verification and assessment
  • Undertake corporate risk reporting & analytics

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, Applied Science or other suitable qualification (preferred)
  • Experience in a similar role in the heavy industry / mining is preferred
  • Experience in leading teams across multiple locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to engage and influence large and diverse teams at multiple levels in the organisation focusing on customer requirements
