About the role
The Senior Officer – Coordination plays a pivotal role within the Emergency Services Strategy, Policy, and Research team at the Australian Red Cross.
Lead projects and activities to ensure efficient and effective management of strategic priorities and empower the team to achieve their goals, building strong and resilient communities, anticipating, and responding to disasters, driving sustainable impact, and advocating for systemic change.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to empower teams and drive organisational goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster cooperation, collaboration and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives and enhance efficiency within established work practices.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate program/project outcomes and make data-driven decisions.
- Commitment to humanitarian values and principles, with a passion for making a positive impact in communities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a dynamic work environment under general direction from senior employees
