About the role
The role will support the Justice Program Coordinator in the planning and delivery of the Justice program and provide cultural advice, experience, and guidance to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Integrated within the prison environment and working directly with Justice involved peoples in and out of the prison, the role will work with a range of stakeholders including Tasmanian Aboriginal Organisations, the Tasmanian Prison Service, Government Departments, service providers and persons with lived experience of the Justice system.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience working with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and awareness of cultural practices and norms
- Relevant experience working with First Nations organisations in the delivery of a community service
- An understanding of the justice, and community services sectors within Tasmania
- Experience in the implementation, coordination and delivery of programs
- Current Driver licence
- Ability to obtain a Tasmanian Prison Service Identification Card
- Relevant experience, and / or tertiary qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $82,063.28 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
